All of our care companions must meet the following basic requirements:

We perform complete background checks, a thorough screening process, and awareness training. The detailed process implemented ensures the caregiver is properly paired with the correct client.

All of our care companions must meet the following basic requirements:
- NON-SMOKER
- AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD
- HAVE EXEMPLARY MORAL CHARACTER
- HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
- CERTIFICATION FROM AN ACCREDITED CNA, PCA, HHA, MEDICAL ASSISTANT OR EQUIVALENT
- CAN READ, WRITE, AND SPEAK ENGLISH FLUENTLY
- HAVE ACCESS TO A VEHICLE TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM POSITIONS
- WILLING TO SUBMIT TO A LEVEL II CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK
- HAVE A VALID U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE WITH A GOOD DRIVING RECORD AND CURRENT AUTO INSURANCE
- AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF VERIFIABLE, PROFESSIONAL HEALTH CARE OR ELDER CARE EXPERIENCE
- HAVE CURRENT CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFICATION
- HAVE IMPECCABLE, VERIFIABLE REFERENCES FROM PREVIOUS EMPLOYERS
- PROVIDE A PASSPORT IF AVAILABLE FOR USE IN TRAVEL CARE WITH FAMILIES

Key Responsibilities
- Implement Plan of Care
- Remind clients of medications
- Complete necessary documentation
- Assist clients with activities and their daily life routines
- Assure that needed supplies are maintained and monitor to insure client privacy
- Assist with or perform meal preparation, and the incidental household services
- Record and report changes in the client’s condition, family situation or needs to the Team Lead

Education, Training and Experience
- Graduation from high school (or equivalent)
- Certification from an accredited CNA, PCA, HHA, or Medical Assistant, or equivalent.
